Red Dot -kilpailu keräsi tänä vuonna lähes 8000 hakemusta ympäri maailmaa. Näistä parhaimmat palkittiin kunnioitetulla Red Dot Winner -palkinnolla. Stalan kuvioidut ruostumattomat teräspinnat, StalaTex, saivat Red Dot -palkintonsa kesäkuun 19. päivänä 2023 Essenissä Saksassa.
Red Dot Design Museon näyttely koostuu laajasta valikoimasta tuotteita roboteista, kahvikoneista ja huonekaluista kattoon ripustettuun autoon. Yli viidessä kerroksessa ja reilun 4000 neliömetrin alueella oleva näyttely esittelee tuotteita, jotka on palkittu kansainvälisten asiantuntijoiden muodostaman tuomariston toimesta yhdessä maailman suurimmista muotoilukilpailuista - Red Dot Design Awardissa.
Stalan kehittämä kuvioitu ruostumaton teräs, StalaTex, on esillä Red Dot Design Museossa Essenissä.
Red Dot Design Award myönnettiin kahdelle StalaTex -mallistolle, jotka ovat suunnitelleet Gert Wingårdh ja Matti Klenell yhdessä Stalan kanssa.
Red Dot Design Award Jury koostuu noin 50 kansainvälisestä asiantuntijasta, jotka testaavat, keskustelevat ja arvioivat jokaisen työn erikseen. Hyvä muotoilu on monipuolista, ja tuotteen on voitettava Red Dot -tuomaristo useilla tasoilla. Tätä varten sen on yhdistettävä neljä hyvän suunnittelun ominaisuutta:

Kuten aina, menestys ei synny yhden henkilön toimesta. Niin myös tässäkin tapauksessa. StalaTex -mallistoja on ollut suunnittelemassa, kehittämässä ja kilpailuun osallistumassa laaja joukko ihmisiä niin Stalalta kuin partnereidemmekin puolelta. Red Dot Award on yksi maailman suurimmista muotoilukilpailuista, ja siihen osallistuu vuosittain noin 20 000 tuotetta. Muotoilupalkinto jaettiin ensimmäisen kerran jo vuonna 1955, ja 1990-luvulla Red Dotin toimitusjohtaja, professori Peter Zec kehitti kilpailulle sen nimen ja brändin. Siitä lähtien Red Dot -palkinto on ollut kansainvälisesti arvostettu ja tavoiteltu tunnustus erinomaisesta muotoilusta.
